Montserrado County District Number Five Representative Thomas Fallah on May 1, 2020 continue his support to the people of his district by donating food and nonfood items to them.
At the presentation ceremony witnessed by cross section of community leaders within the district Lawmaker Fallah said his initiative was his own way of assisting his people in such a crisis people.
Unlike the previous donation exercises, the ruling establishment Representative of district five stressed that the donation was this time around targeting key people and specific sectors within the district.
“Today we are doing it differently with priority to the Religious Community, The Teachers, Health Care Workers, Security Personnel, the Disable and the Orphans including some staffs of the Paynesville City Corporation and many others, he added.
He told the gathering that during such crisis, it is the religious leaders, the Country and people will rely on to intercede for them as such identifying with them is very paramount.
Moreover, he emphasized that it is equally important to share with the Pastors, Imams and Teachers as well as health care workers who contribute greatly to the society and at this COVID-19 crisis,they are no longer doing active work as a result of the social distancing and huge gathering protocols among others.
He at the same time encouraged his people to continue to abide by all the health regulations in order to remain safe as currently the district is yet to confirm a COVID-19 positive case.
The beneficiaries in a happy mood appreciated their lawmaker for always assisting them especially when they are in need.
They assured their leader that they will abide by all the health protocols for the benefit of them and the society at large.
At the end of the exercise and due to priority given, Pastors from the Christian faith walked away with three hundred bags of 25kga rice, 300,000Liberian dollars, Tie soap, mineral water,buckets and many others while Imams from the Muslims faith also walked away with 150 bags of 25kga rice, 150,000 Liberian Dollars, water , buckets and Tie Soap among others.
Meanwhile other sectors who also benefited from the Lawmakers’ gesture are: Security, Health , Education, orphanage homes and other local community dwellers all in district five Montserrado County.
The total items donated according to Rep. Fallah are: 1500 25kga rice, 1000 sags of mineral water (Bottle)1000 cartoons of tie soap,1000 buckets and 1m Liberian dollars respectively.
He encouraged the community leaders in the district to ensure that everyone benefit from his little widow’s might contribution.
