Pro youth development group, Youth for Change has officially Pre-Lunch its Nationwide High School debate championship.
This year event is being under the theme; Road Map to the Nationwide Championship.
The event brought together, students from different schools, Institutions heads and sponsors of the debate championship.
Speaking at the occasion, YOC, Executive Director, Alex Devine said, this year championship is going into the 15 counties.
Mr. Devine disclosed that this year’s National high School Debate would bring together 150 schools from the participating Counties.
The YOC Boss paid homage to some of the best young leaders that have walked out of the National High School Debate for the role they playing among their peers.
He named Satta Sheriff, John Singbae, Lisa Lomax among others as some of those who continue to burn the torch of the National High School debate.
Meanwhile, the Swedish embassy near Monrovia has giving full support to the National High School Debate Championship.
The embassy’s, Program Officer Pretus Sackie expressed delight that the event was going to the 15 counties because there are more talents in the different schools across Liberia.
Also speaking was Orange Liberia representative, Sara Buchanan disclosed that Orange Liberia committed to supporting this year’s competition, like it did in the previous one.
Madam Buchanan encouraged the participants to be serious and focus to bring out their best and be recorded in history like some of the previous participants.
