Abandoned Verdier’s Family In Kenya Gets Government Of Liberia Assistance

The Government of Liberia through its Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya has reached out to the Verdier’s family residing in Kenya by supplying food and assorted items to them during this COVID-19 pandemic.

According to  Mrs. Hawa Verdier the supplies were so enough that she even share with some of her neighbors and workers in Kenya.

She expressed gratitude to the Liberian Government and said the gesture came as a shock to her; especially at a time her husband (former TRC Chairman Cllr. Jerome Verdier) has allegedly abandoned she and their two daughters, ages six and nine and has stop communicating with them and is now residing in the United States of America.

Mrs. Verdier mentioned that as a result of her story the Government of Liberia saw the need and stepped in to help her; something she said brought tears in her eyes for the Government timely intervention to her family.

“I was very shocked because when you check the media my husband doesn’t say anything good about the Liberian Government rather criticism and the very same  government coming to our rescue in these troubling times, I mean it’s a big shock” she averred.

Mrs. Verdier has meanwhile called on citizens not to take the coronavirus for joke, because it is killing several people across the world.

She pray that the Government of Liberia headed by President George Weah will do all in its wisdom to lead the nation especially during this COVID-19 period.
