A Non for Profit, Non Political group (Patrick Dolo- Foundation) has joined the fight in the ongoing global health pandemic.
The group through its local chapter in Liberia On Tuesday, May 18, 2020 as part of its initial contribution to local residents in the fight against the Corona Virus donated $Ld125,000.00 to five clans in Fuamah District Lower Bong County.
Identifying the critical needs of the people in central Liberia especially during the ongoing health crisis, the spokesman of the Patrick Dolo Foundation, Eric Binda stressed that it was prudent to extend helping hands to the people of Fuamah District.
The District Mr. Binda told the local residents is the foundational roots of the humanitarian group mainly its founder (Patrick F. Dolo), Co-Founder and other members as such giving back to its roots and remembering their background was crucial at this time.
He said Mr. Dolo as a humanitarian who is currently residing in the United States of America is seriously concern about the crisis and encourages his people to abide by all of the health preventive measures in order for them to remain safe for the betterment of the District and the County as a whole.
“The virus is deadly, I see on the news on Television here in the US how people are dying and fighting for life as a result of the crisis as such I urged you all not to doubt about the reality of the virus because, it is real and is spreading like wide fire, so let’s take all precautionary measures”, the Foundation Boss noted through its spokesman, Mr. Binda.
Presenting the cash to each representative of the five clans in Fuamah District, Bong County was Miller Y. Dolo who called on the people to use the little kind gesture by the foundation to fight against COVID-19.
“This is just a start as we intend to do more in other needed sectors, so kindly accept our widow’s might”, Mr. Dolo spokesman averred.
In response the Paramount chief of the Fuamah District Joseph Tartee commended his children for the timely gesture.
He promised that the money will be used exclusive for the fight against COVID-19.
Paramount Chief Tartee also added his voice to that of the Founder of the Patrick Dolo Foundation to encourage his people to always follow all of the health protocols in order to save lives.
Mr. Tartee also urged the Foundation that the gesture should not be the last but the beginning of more to come because the district is in need of more essential things and will be glad that they will fill the gap and intervene for them.
The brief ceremony which was held in Handii, Fuamah District Bong County due to the observance of the social distancing measure saw three representatives each from the five clans participating in the program as shower of praises to Foundation was the order of the Day.
Meanwhile 25,000ld each was presented to the five clans as initial assistance to the people of Fuamah District in the wake of the COVID-19 fight while a special package in the total tune of 50,000ld was also given to elders, Town Chiefs, Imams and Pastors among others of Fuamah District respectively.
According to Mr. Dolo the Foundation has plans to engage into other key sectors to include: Health, Education, Youth Empowerment, Agriculture and many more mainly for the direct benefit of the people.
