Rep. Ivar Jones Declares Membership to CDC Party

On Friday July 3,2020  Representative Ivar K. Jones publicly announced to a gathering of over three hundred supporters that he is officially part of the Coalition for Democratic Change Party

“Today we have gathered here to make public our official declaration of our membership to the Congress for Democratic Change, so I called on all my supporters across the county to join me on this great move.

Anyone who say that CDC will not put out a candidate in Margibi County, let me officially inform you that CDC is set and ready to put out candidates who will contest for the primary and if he or she wins the primary, supporters of CDC will support said Candidate” Hon Jones explained.

The stage according to a Stewart of the CDC is gear towards supporting the party’s candidate that will win the election in Margibi County.

The political drama which started with a press conference saw a huge turnout of supporters of Representative Jones and the CDC in Cotton tree Barclay Farm Community.

Hon Jones who is currently serving as Representative of District#2 Margibi county, in his assertion maintained that he join CDC since 2019.

He justified, joining the CDC is of no mistake and as such he is confident that partisans of the CDC have always make the difference by commitment during elections.

The Margibi District #2 Lawmaker urged supporters of his candidacy and others well meaning Margibians to join the CDC and support the Coalition for Democratic Change in the upcoming Margibi Senatorial election scheduled for December 18, of this year.

It can be recalled that Representative Jones during 2017 election won the election with a little over twelve thousand five hundred valid votes (12,500).

Based on his public declaration, Representative Jones said, he await to join the battle with others interested candidates at the Coalition primaries scheduled for July of this year in Montserrado County.

Meanwhile, Representative Jones leadership according to many who witnessed Friday ceremony in Barclay Farm explained to our Reporter that the lawmaker and others presence at the House of the Liberian Legislature have brought a great change in the political thereat that badly in gloved the body politics of Margibi County over the years.

In their remarks, locals comprising of Community leaders from several Towns and Villages in Margibi county emphasized that Representative Jones ascendancy at the lower House has brought overwhelming balances for public trust and accountability in Margibi County.

“We must appreciate Hon. Ivar K. Jones for his level of commitment to citizens of district#2 and Margibi County, his work over the past years have proven that he can represent the people of Margibi County.

Hon. Jones premised 50% of his salary during the 2017 election and he is stay living up to such commitment.

Through his 50% salary waver citizens have benefited several projects in the districts,we are hopeful that if he becomes our Senator Margibi will benefits more development,” Locals in Margibi explained.

Also speaking, Daddy Gibson Sarvaciir, a candidate many anticipated to contest for the CDC primary in July of this year officially announced his support to Hon. Ivar K. Jones ahead of the primary, describing the pending July primary as a place where partisans will gather to share fun.

He furthered explained that declaring his support to Hon. Jones to contest for the senatorial election is due to the popularity of the district #2 Lawmaker and the level of development the county has received under the leadership of the Ivar K. Jones.

For his part, the Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change Margibi chapter extended gratitude to Representative Ivar K. Jones and the gathering for their turn out but admonished the over three hundred supporters to commit themselves to victory in the upcoming election.

Chairman Francis Karpu Sr and Representative Ivar Kokulo Jones made these assertions on Friday July 3, 2020 in Barclay Farm lower Margibi County.
