MediaAid Signs MOU For Training AYR Staffs In Zorzor, Lofa County


MediaAid Foundation-MAF has entered a partnership agreement to train all on-air staffs of the Alternative Youth Radio-AYR in Zorzor, Lofa County.

The MOU calls for the training of all seven (7) staffs of the AYR by the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism-PQSJ beginning next training quarter/semester in November, this year.

At the signing ceremony Friday, 18 September 2020, MediaAid Founder/Executive Director Titus Tokpah disclosed that the Alternative Youth Radio will pay 40-percent of the tuition and fees for the selected radio staffers, while the remaining 60-percent would be raised through a joint project proposal.

Tokpah assured that AYR staffs stand to improve their knowledge of mainstream journalism, increase ties between both entities, provide networking opportunities with other colleagues, among others.

On behalf of the Alternative Youth Radio, Founder/CEO James James Youthand Childrenadvocate Kwabo disclosed that his facility will provide internship opportunity for PQSJ students as part of the partnership.
