PRESIDENT WEAH TO DEDICATE STREET LIGHTS ON OCTOBER 1ST

The newly constructed 14th Gobuychop Market in Omega community, Paynesville, which was to be dedicated Tuesday September 29, 2020 by President George Weah,  was extended due to happening within the marketing association, as work on the project has completed according to the Executive Mansion.

Meanwhile , President George Weah is expected to put on the first street light from ELWA Junction to the SKD Boulevard in Congo town, Liberia on October 1st 2020.

Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Smith Toby, informed Journalists that the market building will help to accommodate marketers from the commercial district of Red Light market who are often seeing selling on the sild walk.

Mr. Toby boasted that the project is durable and has lots of facilities, including office space and electricity.

Speaking at the regular Tuesday press briefing, Smith also informed the media that, the South-Eastern Road from Ganta to Tapita will commence in December this year.

The project is part of President George Weah’ Road project, linking the counties and communities.

He also said, the government has secure funding for the commencement of the Roberts International Airport road project, stressing, compensation to residents living in the project way is ongoing after which demolition will start.

The Deputy Press Secretary disclosed that the Johnsonville Road project will continue this October and will start from the Dry Rice market in Barnesville to the Johnsonville Township as it was halted due to the rainy season.

When asked about allegations against him of not having sufficient information about his boss George Weah, by dismissed Passport Director Andrew Wonplo,  the Deputy Press Secretary rubbished the information, saying he’s  fully aware of happenings around the Presidency.
