Maryland : Harper Port Manager Honors by Employees

As a saying goes, “give a man his flower when he is still alive” was on Saturday 11, October manifested as several employees and contractors of the Harper Port in Maryland County honored the Port Manager William W. Wallace, for his tremendous efforts in transforming the Harper Port.


The workers during the Honoring ceremony appreciated Manager Wallace for the incredible efforts made in transforming the Harper Port since his ascendency.

Speaking during the ceremony, Harper Port Acting Financial Manager Daniel Stemn said, the employees and contractors over the past years have observed a smooth working relationship between them and Hon. Wallace, something which led their attention to honoring him.

Daniel named the employment of several persons, reawakening of the port transportation sector and the visitation of several investors at the Port for business among others as improvement made by the manager since his ascendency.

For her part, Esther Wesseh, Statistician at the Harper Port who spoke on behalf of the females employees assigned at the Port praised Manager Wallace for his services render to Marylanders and the Southeast by extension.

Harper Port Manager William Wallace meanwhile appreciated the work force at the Harper Port for the honored.

He use the occasion to encourage the work force to take their Jobs and be dutiful at all times as Harper Port is not the only environment to their working career.

Manager Wallace at the same time promised top management commitment to providing employment opportunities for the rest of those he referred to as contractors, while indicated that there is a plan to dredging the Harper Port and upgrade it to international standards for the purpose of increasing Revenue general for Liberia and creating more job opportunities.

This he believe will boost the County economy for both local and international businesses.
