Liberian leader George Manneh Weah, has congratulated Representative J. Fonati Koffa on his victory as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mr. Koffa secured majority of votes tuesday in the House of Representatives election to replace his predecessor Prince Moye who was elected Senator of Bong County in the just ended senatorial elections in Liberia.

The Liberian Leader also thanked Honorable Koffa’s colleagues, members of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Opposition and Independent Lawmakers who decided to repose their confidence in the Grand Kru County Representative.

Hon. Koffa is serving his first term at the House of Representatives.

The President said Koffa’s election is indicative of the collaboration and energy that can be formed by various political blocs inorder to do the business of the Liberian people.

The Liberian Chief Executive said, he look forward to working with all parties as the Legislature begins its 4th session in accordance with article 32 of the Liberian Constitution.

Dr. Weah called on members of both houses to put aside partisans’ bickering while aggressively pursuing the national development agenda ahead.
