President George Weah early Thursday departed the country for Congo- Brazzaville to take part in the inauguration ceremony of President Denise Saso-Ngueso.
According to an Executive Mansion release, President Weah while in Congo-Brazzaville for two days, will hold talks with President Denise Saso-Ngueso on Liberia-Congo bilateral cooperation as well as regional security and economic development.
Mr. Weah is also expected to receive one of Congo’s honors for exemplary leadership, pursuit of peace in Africa and infrastructural prosperity for his country.
Meanwhile, in the absence of President Weah, Finance and Development Planning Minister, Samuel Tweah, will act as Chair of the Cabinet in consultation with the Vice President via telephone contact with the President.
The Liberian leader is expected to return in country on Saturday, April 17, 2021 the releases concluded.
