Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL), an oil palm concession company operating in Sinoe and Grand Kru counties has donated assorted food and non- food items to the Local Authority of Sinoe County as the county prepares for the third leg of President George Manneh Weah visit to the county.
The Items which includes 75 bags of 25kg rice, 150 pieces of Chairs, 10 bags of paint (white wash) among others was presented by the Communications coordinator of GVL Mr. Alphonso Siebonu Koffi on behalf of the company.
Mr. Kofi said the donation is in response to the request made by the local authority calling for the assistance of the company to enable them adequately prepare for the President visit to Sinoe.
He added that as the GVL company remain committed to its Corporate and social responsibilities and it was prudent enough to adhere to the request from the County leadership.
“We as a company remain committed to our corporate and social responsibilities and it is important to be a help to the county whenever the needs be, and the president visit here is so much important, so the county have to be prepared to host the President and his entourage.” he lamented.
Superintendent Lee Nagbe Chea receiving the items on behalf of the Local Authority, praised the effort of the company as he reflect on the kind works and contributions of GVL to the county .
He said the company is always rendering assistance to the county and its people, adding that the kind gesture will boost the effort already made by national government for preparation to receiving the President.
Superintendent Chea further lamented that the items received will be used for it intended purpose, and called on citizens and others institutions to emulate the good work of the Golden Veroleum-Liberia company.
