The race for who becomes champions of the Orange National League 2020/21 season heats up as LISCR FC eye top spot after a massive 3-1 win over Nimba Kwado at the TUSA Field in Gardnersville, on Sunday evening.
This took the Gambian tactician Tapha Manneh’s Shipping Boys to the second floor on the league table for the first time since the start of the campaign.
It now stands as a three-horse race involving defending champions LPRC Oilers, respective title rivals LISCR and Nimba Kwado with barely two games left to end the season.
Yesterday’s defeat was a big setback for Kwado who have been the only side rubbing shoulders with title holders LPRC Oilers since the league season started.

The Shipping Boys have so far become the first and only team to defeat Kwado home and away this season, both meetings ending 3-1 respectively in favor of Coach Manneh’s men.
It was another heavy disappointing moment for the reigning champions LPRC Oilers who were held to a heartbreaking 1-1 draw away to Watanga FC at the SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville.
A win would have kept the Oil Boys 3 points ahead of LISCR who moved Second on the table after recording a dramatic win over Kwado.
Cooper Sannoh’s LPRC Oilers are currently topping the log with just a point over new challengers LISCR. Oilers have 40 points whilst Second-placed LISCR have 39 points and there are only two games left to go.

Already relegated Small Town FC continue their poor run as they suffered another 3-1 defeat to Freeport FC at the ATS.
Freeport are now 6th on the table with 27 points as Small Town remained at the bottom with only 7 points from 20 games.
Meanwhile, Monrovia Club Breweries smashed Nimba FC 2-1 at the TUSA Field. Nimba FC who are already relegated, sit at the Eleventh-placed with 8 points.

As it stands, it is obvious that there will be a lot of dramatic moments on the final match-day especially amongst the top 3 (LPRC Oilers, LISCR and Nimba Kwado).
