PUL Halts Judicial Reporters Network Elections

Monrovia, May 6, 2021- The Press Union of Liberia has with immediate effect placed a hold on the conduct of the Association of Judicial Reporters Election.

The Election was slated for Friday, 7th May 2021 but has been thrown into confusion due to accusations of missteps in processes lay down as part of the preparation for the polls.

According to a PUL release, all contending parties to the Association of Judicial Reporters Election fallout are asked to avoid acts that will bring the standing of the Liberian Journalism Community to public disrepute.

Meanwhile, the Union is urging the Network’s Leadership to dissolve the current election committee in an attempt to return calm in the growing uproar in the Association of Judicial Reporters.

Going forward the Press Union of Liberia Leadership disclosed that it has taken charge of the conduct of the Association of Judicial Reporters Election.
