Bong: Two Reportedly Dead from COVID-19


Two persons have died from COVID-19 and several confirmed with the virus in Bong County.

Bong County Health Team Officer Dr. Jonathan Flomo said, one of the suspected patients left the County despite confirmed positive of the virus in Monrovia, while five persons who came in contact with covid-19 patients are self-quatrain.

Dr. Flomo told Journalist that the pandemic is alarming and noted that the County Health team is currently doing contact tracing to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Bong County Health Team Officer said, their contact tracing is being done in Suakoko and Jorquelleh Districts Respectively because one of the men who was tested positive for the virus in Monrovia has told health authority that he interacted with some people in Totota, lower Bong County before leaving for Monrovia.

The Health practitioner called on the residents of Bong County and throughout Liberia not to take the COVID-19 pandemic lightly as he stressed the need for a holistic fight against the virus.
