Orange National League: Kwado to host Uncompromising Oilers in Epic Battle


Sanniquellie based First Division outfit Nimba Kwado are up for a big fight as they take on reigning champions LPRC Oilers in a weighty battle in an all-important Match-day 3 encounter on Sunday, 14 November.

After recording a draw along with a loss from their two opening fixtures, the Nimba boys will be all up for their first win of the season against the champions in an enthralling clash at the Nimba County Sports Stadium in Sanniquellie at 3:30 P.M.

The Ton Peæ boys who were held to a scoreless draw on the opening day to in-house rivals Heaven Eleven in a Nimba Derby match surrendered to a dramatic 2-1 defeat on Match-day two to top league returnee Invincible Eleven (IE) at the George Weah Technical Center in Careysburg last weekend.

With literally a struggling start to the new season, Kwado are desperately looking forward to registering their first win of the campaign.

However, the Nimbaians have the Oil boys to contempt with in the titanic battle on Sunday.

Oilers have collected one win coupled with a draw from their opening pair of games.

The champions comfortably overcame newcomers Sandi FC 3-0 in their opening match at the TUSA Field in Gardnersville before grabbing a point against LISCR FC in the Gardnersville Derby the past weekend.

Nimba Kwado established themselves as one of the main contenders for the league’s title last season, unfortunately they finished third behind Oilers.

The heavyweight appear to be uncompromising as they currently sit Second-placed in the standings holding 4 points, Kwado are stationed one step above the drop on 1 point.

Both sides met twice last campaign with Kwado winning one time and claiming a draw in those fixtures.

Oilers held Kwado to a goalless draw during their last visit to Sanniquellie.

The title holders are heading into the crucial match-day three fight undefeated in their last three outings against Kwado at the Nimba Stadium in Sanniquellie.

Oilers won one and drew two of their last three fixtures away to Kwado in Sanniquellie.

Also happening elsewhere on the same match-day and kick-off time, 4th place LISCR will host Margibi giants Sandi FC in a blockbuster at the TUSA Field in Gardnersville.

Sandi are keen to sign in their first win since coming to the top flight. They lost their opening game of the season against champions LPRC Oilers at the same venue on Match-day one.

In related happenings, Mighty Barrolle will go up against Nimba United at the Doris Williams Stadium in Grand Bassa.

The Rollers are currently 10th on the stand with 1 point, whilst United stand sit least in the table after a very poor start to the season.

United are yet without a win and a point after two games so far. Similarly, the Kanyan Pepper boys are hopeful of securing their first win of the season after drawing one and losing one out of their opening two matches.

The SKD Mini Stadium in Paynesville will be a scene of gruesome battle as Watanga FC take the Invincible Eleven (IE).
Watanga are hopeful of returning to winning ways after suffering a heartbreaking one-nil defeat to newcomers Heaven Eleven in Yekepa last Sunday.

The Sunshine Yellow boys of IE also look to continue their winning streak after finding their first win of the season over Nimba Kwado in the past weekend.

Watanga are 6th in the table with IE sitting at the 7th placed.

In Kinjor, home side Bea Mountain face-off tough standing Heaven Eleven as they fish for their first home win of the season.

It is going to be a huge tasks for the Gold boys of Grand Cape Mount against the Mount Gangra skippers who seem to be enjoying life in the top tier after clinching one win and a draw from their last two league games.

Bea Mountain sit third on the table with 4 points and visitors Heaven Eleven are 5th with the equal tally.

Freeport FC will go head-to-head against league leaders Monrovia Club Breweries in another breathtaking match-day three encounter at the ATS in Monrovia.

The Greens have been undefeated in their
last two fixtures away to Mighty Barrolle and Sandi FC respectively.

Club Breweries have also put up a strong fight winning one and drawing one out of their past two games.

Breweries currently sit first on the table and have four points; Freeport have two points from two and games lay 8th place in the league.
