Orange 1st Division League: Match Officials for Match-week 6 Sunday

The Referee Department of the Liberia Football Association which is charged with the responsibility to assign match officials to oversee games in the Orange National League has released the names of referees and assistants who will handle matchday 6 league games of the 1st Division on Sunday, 5th December, 2021.

As per the assignment, Hassan Zinnah Corneh, a FIFA badged referee will be the man in the middle in Yekepa where Heaven Eleven are expected to entertain Monrovia Club Breweries tomorrow.

It will be Corneh’s first time handling a matchday game at the EB Stadium and his second time officiating a game involving Heaven Eleven this season.

The experienced umpire was on top of happenings in Kinjor back on Match-day 3 in November when the Yekepa based 1st Division side lost 1-nil away to Bea Mountain.

He was then assisted by Joel Doe, Johnny Duncan as assistant #1 and assistant #2, with Forkpah Yogie as the reserved referee.

But for tomorrow’s match, the FIFA watchman will work alongside Abraham Fahnbulleh (Asst. #1), Johnson Gbartea (Asst. #2), and Abraham Gandyu as the fourth referee.

Another FIFA recognized referee Moses Forkpah has been authorized to implement the Laws Of The Game (LOTG) in the crunch clash involving two of the league’s forerunners, LISCR and Bea Mountain.

The match is expected to be played at the TUSA Field in Gardnersville and it will be the second time Forkpah is handling a matchday game at the TUSA in the space of one week. He was in charged of Freeport and Heaven Eleven’s game at the same venue back on Wednesday.

The Liberia international Referee will be rendered assistances by Gleekan Garteh (Asst. #1), Thomas N. Konneh (Asst. #2), and Mathew Sloh (fourth official).

Nimba Kwado will be up against one of their bitter opponents Watanga at the Nimba Sports Stadium on Sunday and another promising Liberian referee Stanley Konah will be there to ensure that players play according to the rules governing the beautiful game.

Konah who is a prospective FIFA badge referee will be ably assisted by Elisha Johnson as the First Assistant (AR-1) and Ephraim Grant as the second Assistant (AR-2).

Alex Harris will watch from behind as the Reserved Referee (4th Official).

Joe Macauley has been employed by the Liberia Referee Committee to preside over the rollercoaster between bottom side clubs Sandi FC and Nimba United in Kakata.

Benedictus Tolowon will oversee the first touchline as AR-1 whilst John Fallah will be in charged of the opposite touch as AR-2.

Joe McGill will help to regulate substitution as the Reserved Referee.

Sylvina Garnett will be in the center of happenings at the Technical Center in Careysburg where a ruthless Freeport FC will be looking to upset struggling home side Invincible Eleven (IE).

The match will be the third for the lone female FIFA-badged Ref in the country since the start of the 2021/22 league season and the first this month.

The last time Garnett adjudicated a match in the Top-flight this season was a 2-0 win for Freeport FC over Monrovia Club Breweries at the ATS on the 14th of November.

On Sunday, she will be signaled from the first line by FIFA badged assistant referee Joel Doe as her first linesman.

James Numaryan will be waving the flag from the other end of the pitch. David Jusu will help to call the referee’s attention in case of breach in the rules on the respective teams’ benches.

Another proposed FIFA referee Emmanuel Mensah who is one of the fastest growing match official in Liberia will take over champions LPRC Oilers versus Mighty Barrolle match expected to be at the ATS.

Though it is still not clear whether the Oilers and Barrolle game will hold for the Sunday date due their (Oilers) engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.

It is being rumored that the Oil boys will forfeit the match because of the present health threat in South Africa which has to do with the new variant of coronavirus.

Holding everything constant, Mensah will be assisted by Francis Bah (AR-1) and Togba Ketter (AR-2). Koffa Doe will serve as the 4th referee in this contest.
