It is all set to be a super Sunday for football fans with two rescheduled Match-day 7 games underway in Orange First Division League on today Sunday, 26 December.

League leaders Freeport FC are hosting champions LPRC Oilers in Boxing Day clash at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in the capital in a bid to extend their lead on the table.

The match which is set to kickoff at 4 PM is going to be a huge challenge for Freeport who have been enjoying a fine form since the opening of the 2021/22 National League season.

The Go Greens have witnessed a staggering start to the campaign so far after collecting four wins along side two draws after six league games.

They are currently in charge of the table with a remarkable 14 points tally.

However, it is all going to be an epic showdown between both clubs as the champions look to grab a win in order to bolster their chase for a third title run.

As it stands, the Oil boys are 7 points away from the table and sit seventh on the log. They have recorded just a win after 6 games this season drawing four and a defeat.

A win for Freeport will put them three points clear atop the table.

Cooper Sannah’s LPRC Oilers also need this win to push them closer to the peak of the table before taking the New Year’s break.

In another Match-day’s encounter, Nimba United will look to entertain Heaven Eleven in a banger Nimba Derby at the North Star Stadium in Mount Barclay at 3:30 PM.

The match is a very crucial one for both sides as they go for nothing other than win.

United have had a struggling form since the start of the season after managing just a win and one draw from their previous six league fixtures which has them seated at the bottom of the table (11th placed) with only four points.

League’s debutants Heaven Eleven are equally desperate to secure a win to move upward in the standings.

The Yekepa giants are currently ninth on the table with a fragile 2 points difference from the relegation zone.
