Agribusiness Initiative Launched in Margibi


As part of the effort to enhance Agriculture activities in Liberia, Bravo Sister Enterprise in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched the Liberia Agribusiness Development Activity (LADA), a five-year intervention supported by USAID in Kakata Margibi county.

The project is aimed at enhancing and creating job opportunities for Librarians, particularly women in Agro Businesses across the County

LADA worked with Bravo Sister Enterprise and provided support through its co-investment financing mechanism to purchase pieces of equipment including Garie Machine of all types at the facility.

Speaking at a day-long visitation in the Cooper Farm Community along the Bong Mine Road in Kakata Margibi County, the Mission Director of USAID Madam Sara R. Walter said USAID is committed to providing assistance to those willing to work with the US government in Liberia.

She praised Bravo Sister Enterprise in Margibi for the level of support to Liberians particularly Women.

She however encouraged workers at the Bravo Sister Enterprise to take the lead as others follow.

Meanwhile, the head of Bravo Sister Enterprise in Liberia Mr. Mongar David in a chat with KMTV praised international partners including USAID and LADA for the support of women in Liberia.

He said Bravo Sister Enterprise has provided job opportunity to disadvantaged youths commonly called “Zogoes.”

Mr. David added that Bravo Sister Enterprise is currently producing a huge quantity of Cassava to the Liberian Market.

He then called on USAID and other partners for their continued support to Liberia.

“We want to express our gratitude to USAID and LADA for supporting our initiatives, they are the major contributors and We promised to always make them proud as time goes by”David added.

Meanwhile, several Women working at Bravo have expressed Gratitude to the institution for improving their lives.

They said creating Job opportunity for women in Liberia will help reduce the huge tasks for their husband.

“I say thank you to Bravo Sister Enterprise and the American people for what they are doing for us, we are working here and earning a very good salary and we ask them to continue” the woman added.

Bravo Sister Enterprise is currently involved with Cassava processing in Margibi County supported by USAID and LADA
