Former Pepper FC and LISCR midfielder Allen Njie, has joined Swiss second tier club FC Aarau on a three-season contract.
Njie, 21, put pen to paper on Monday, 28 June meaning he will spent the next three years of his career with his new employer [FC Aarau] in the Swiss Challenge League.
The Liberia international who has been with another Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zurich since 2019 was certainly excited about his new job.
Though fees and personal terms of the deal was not disclosed, but, from all indications, it expected to be a very lucrative one for the young midfielder.
The former Grasshopper Club Zurich man excited about his new move took to his verified Facebook account expressing his gratitude after sealing the deal.
“For the next three years of my soccer career, I will spend it with FC Aarau of Switzerland. I am grateful to God, my management, families, friends and loved ones for the unending and unwavering support thus far.” Njie said.
“The deal is official! The vision remains, and the journey and challenge continues. Always keep believing in yourself.” He added.
The midfield maestro has captained the Lone Stars of Liberia in their last five international friendlies. He first captained the Red, White and Blue boys in a two-legged friendly with the U-23 team of Saudi Arabia in March.
He also wore the armband for the national team in the three international friendlies against Mauritania, Libya and the African champions, Algeria, earlier this month. Fussball-Club Aarau is a Swiss football club, based in Aarau.
They play in the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of Swiss football after being relegated from Swiss Super League.
