Following the deadline for both Henry Costa and Sylvester Nah to report to the Liberia Immigration Service for continuation of the travel documentation investigation, the “LIS” through its spokesman Abraham Dolley has declared Henry Costa and Sylvester Nah wanted by the Immigration force.
“The failure to appear after 9:00Aam local time is a slip in the face to the LIS”, noted Mr. Dolley.
A facebook post from Talk Show host Henry P. Costa posted “Don’t worry. I will be okay. The Sierra Leone authorities are being very professional and nice to me. I posted this myself because they let me use my phone. It will be resolved”. According to the report, he was arrested in Freetown, trying to book an SN Brussels flight out of the region just hours after the Liberia Immigration Service said he would be declared fugitive if he fails to appear before it on Wednesday morning for the ongoing investigation into his alleged use of a forged Lassiez Passer to enter Liberia in December of last year.
The Henry Costa debate has now widened across the Country with increasing and mixed views admits his controversial traveling documentation saga.
Currently the debate has shifted following the arrest of the Chairman of the Council of Patriots, Henry Costa in neighboring Freetown Sierra Leone.
Speaking to our reporter the Public Relations Director of the Liberia Immigration Service Abraham Dolley confirmed the arrest of Mr. Costa at the Lunge International Airport late Tuesday evening in Freetown, Sierra Leone as the news was received by Liberians with mixed reactions.
According to reports Mr. Costa escape was due to allege fear on his life by unknown people, a report KMTV News cannot independently confirm.
In an interview with our reporter some concerned Liberians say they are happy for Costa arrest because his multiple protests have not benefited them rather, it has send them backward.
They also complained and alleged that the COP chair’s advocacies over the period have more or like been self-center and not generally, people driven, though Mr. Costa has a different view, noting that he has been advocating in the interest of the masses.
According to another Liberian, she wonders why the political commentator will leave the Country in the wake of his questionable fake documentation investigation.
Why others argued that the COP’s boss has no confidence in the security as well as justice system as such, his last option was to escape in order to safe himself.
Mr. Costa has repeatedly complained of bad governance, corruption, shamble economic situation and many others in Liberia under the CDC-led government, a claimed the government has since refuted.
However, there are mixed views on his arrest in Sierra Leone with some in favor because they want him to face justice while others say his arrest was a set-up and a calculated attempt to get hold of him in order to end the saga.
It still unclear on his allege fake or forged travel documentation and the repercussion for his actions if need be in line with the laws of the Country.
The Costa situation has now open a broader argument with some calling on the Government to do the right thing and allow justice take its course why others say the hullabaloo surrounding the Costa’s saga should be handle maturely and with care so that it will serve as a deterrent to others.
Up till press time, the next course of action is unspecified though has been declared wanted by they “LIS”, investigation continues…
