In a PowerPoint presentation to justified several projects done since he assumed leadership as Lawmaker, District #4 Representative, Bong County, Robert Flomo Womba, name and showcase the Larwoi and Shankpalai bridges, Belefanai, Jarkai ,Payeta Public schools among others as achievements .
The District Lawmaker also said, he completed the Foequelleh Maternity Center, Gbarnsue Sulumah youth center , Jorwah Guest house, Bellemue Techers and Jorwah Nurses’ quarters.
He justified that these projects are to developed electoral District #4 which is in the remote part of Liberia.
As part of his Legislative responsibilities, Representative Womba in his 2019/2020 Legislative report to the people of the District, also outlined the completions of Kpaii, Jorquelleh to Yowee road, the Kpoloya to Gbakonah road, the Tolbert Farm to Gbansue Sulonmah road amongst others.
Hon. Womba said his eagerness for the development of the district is unmeasurable stating that it is a blessing for the district to have elected him as such and promised to work in all sectors to empower and improve the living condition of his kinsmen .
Rep. Robert Womba said, as part of his oversight responsibilities, plenary had public hearings where individuals appeared before the House to answer some questions including allegations during 2019 and 2020 period .
He said there came a time when some of their colleagues in the house of representatives wanted to deny them (his district) their legitimate share of the County resources but he stood stall, justified and and lobby for more opportunities for his kinsmen.
“At that time, we had to take some decisions that could meet the satisfaction of our people because they are our direct employers” Hon Womba added.
Also speaking on Challenges, Hon. Womba named the lack of district development funds given by National government for the last three years. He said previous government provided funding for districts development activities.
He said, the Coronavirus outbreak also challenged some of his activities as Lawmakers, adding that many of them were unable to travel to seek donors support.
Someone of the citizens who attended the program expressed happiness over the works Mr. Womba is doing.
“ I want to commend him for all of what he is doing, for me I don’t like to be involved into politics but as I have sat and listened to the report, I want to freely say that Hon. Womba is doing very well” Peter G. Nyanque a resident of Foequelleh told KMTV.
