Goals from Defender Teah Dennis and skipper William Jebor were enough to earned Liberia the full three points as they beat the Republic of Congo 2-1 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville on Tuesday in the 2018 AFCON Qualifiers.
Defender Dennis scored the opener in the 8th minute after directing a cross from left-back Aloysius Simujla with a brilliant header before Jebor doubled the lead six minutes later.
The Congolese fought back and got a consolation a minute later though striker Prince Ibara.
The win gives Liberia a breath in Group G with four points.
