Caterpillars Invade Wea-Weah Town Bong County

Several local farmers in Bong electoral district four are vacating their farms due to widespread Caterpillars.

The uncontrollable Caterpillars is stopping the smooth operations of local farmers meanly in Wea- Weah town and parts adjacent.

The invasion according to our Bong County Correspondent, has lasted for weeks, and it’s fast spreading to nearby towns and villages.

The creeping caterpillars are also polluting the source of water use for drinking, bathing, and washing by the local dwellers.

The multitude of caterpillars is instilling fears in the minds of others, and accordingly many have vacated their farmlands.

The Bong farmers in an interview with KMTV Sunday are appealing to the government, humanitarians to immediately come to their aid.

According to them, they can barely afford as farming is their only source of income and livelihood

For years now, this is the first of its kind for residents of the area to experience such a disaster.
