CDC And Opposition Liberty Party Riot

The space between the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change and Opposition Liberty Party on the Tubman Boulevard, was a scene of dramatic display as supporters of the two institutions were seen rioting for unspecified reasons.

The two parties supporters were seen throwing stones and other foreign materials/objects at each other thereby injuring several people on either of the divide.

The situation brought the free flow of traffic and the movement of people to a stand still for approximately 30 minutes.

The swift intervention of officers of the joint security task force headed by the Liberia National Police was enough to bring the situation under control.
