Civil Society Group Wants Mary Broh Contest The 2020 Senatorial Election

A group of young women under the banner VISION IN PARTTNERSHIP (VIP) says it has concluded consultations with other women organizations and political stakeholders in the Township of West Point to have Madam Mary T. Broh, Director General of General Service Agency (GSA) petitioned  in order to contest  the 2020 mid-term senatorial elections in October of this year.

A release issued and signed by VISION IN PARTNERSHIP (VIP) Director/CEO, Wanna Tutu Wesseh states that VIP and the women of West Point Township believed that Madam Mary T. Broh has the requisite education, political and leadership experience to serve the people of Liberia at the level of the Liberian legislature; particularly in the Liberian Senate as a Senator of Montserrado County.

Madam Wesseh said though the organization is yet to approach Madam Mary T. Broh on its intention to have the eminent Liberian state-woman contest the upcoming senatorial elections in October this year, however, the Civil Society Group due to the significance of the matter  has constituted a high-power delegation to meet with Madam Mary T. Broh in the coming days to make a passionate appeal to the GSA boss in considering the proposal of VIP and the women of West Point Township realize in order to save the County (Montserrado) politically which she has over the period served with admiration from the people themselves.

“We are in conversation with the local leadership of the Coalition for Democratic Change CDC in that community to support the organization’s quest in allowing Madam Broh to contest the senatorial elections on the ticket of the CDC”, they noted.

According to VIP, astute public servant  has long-years of trusted public service coupled with her decision to accept job in the CDC government shows that she is a reliable Liberian woman who understands the developmental vision of President George Manneh Weah and the government’s Pro Poor Agenda to enhance national development at every levels of the Liberian society.

In a bid to further expedite the campaign, The VIP, according to Madam Wesseh will launch a political victory campaign code named, “Women’s Operation Take Montserrado”,  It will be a campaign that will ensure that Madam Mary T. Broh becomes the next outstanding senator of Montserrado County at the end of the 2020 senatorial elections in the county and called on the national leadership of the CDC to see the need to give her the  golden political opportunity in the 2020 elections.

Additionally, the group is of the conviction that  senior officials of the ruling establishment already knowing fully well of the role and accomplishment of the GAS boss will not hesitate in endorsing her to run on the CDC ticket in the ensuing Senatorial election.

It can be recalled that the Secretary General of the Young Women Christian Association of Liberia (YWCA) Roseline Towne during her 60th Birthday celebration called on women of Liberia to in the upcoming Senatorial elections vote women who are prepared, willing and can deliver the necessary goods for its people,  this the West Based Group, “VIP” see madam Broh as one woman among the many in Montserrado County who is capable and fits directly in such category to help push the agenda of women of Liberia forward.
