Coach Peter James Butler Forgives Tonia Tisdell


Several commendations continue to flow in on British Football manager Peter James Butler following his decision to forgive suspended national team player Tonia Tisdell.

The younger midfielder was recently suspended by Coach Butler for his indiscipline attitude exhibited during Liberia’s 3-1 home win over SierraLeone.

Player Tisdell who is now a free man after his suspension rendered an earlier open apology to the National Team, the Coach, his Family and Liberians in general for his behavior something sports pundit say may have among other things led to the coach’s latest decision.

Due to the coach’s decision, he did not feature in the return leg in Freetown Sierra Leone recently.

As a result of the lifting of the suspension of Tonia, he maybe call back to the team to face Chad on October 9, 2019 as his involvement into the squad maybe an added advantage for the Lone Star.
Tonia who plied his trade in Cyprus recently netted in his first goal for the club this season and has over the period been an instrumental player for the national team.

Coach Butler decision continued to win the heart and admiration of many soccer lovers in Liberia especially having moved Liberia to the group stage of the 2020 world cup qualifier.

Though lot more is expected of him but according to a sport pundit his beginning is so far welcoming.

Meanwhile Preparations leading to the Chad’s game according to officials of the Liberia Football Association is well on course.

Currently players for the WAFU tournament are on camp as the tournament is expected to begin September 29, 2019.
