CoP Expels Several Members, Cites ‘Flagrant Disrespect’


One of Liberia’s largest and powerful political movement, the Council of Patriots, has kicked -out several influential youth wing members in the organization due to disrespect to constituted authority amongst others the group said.

CoP in a release noted that the expelled members made denigrated statement about the movement as well as bringing the political pressure group to public disrepute.

Those suspended are, Lasana S. Kanneh, Cyrus Manneh (alias Henry Costa Pekin), Fred Howard Jr. (alias Fredie Fred), Alloysius Jallah, Samson Moseray (alias Telia Urey Pekin), Abraham Godsend Kromah, Alvin B. Gray, Levi Cooper (alias Lividino Dos Santos Cooper Jr.), Varney C. Hilton, and Japhet Terry Baryogar.

In a release CoP said, anyone doing business with the above expelled persons in the name of the movement must desist or shall be doing so at their own risk as they are no longer members of the movement.

The political movement group in a release also failed to state what exactly constitute flagrant disrespect to their constituted leadership or comments made by some of those expelled, but said, their decision must serve as caution to all with in the movement .

As a pressure group it tolerates and encourages disagreements and competition of ideas but it does not and will not tolerate unlawful, purposeful and flagrant disrespect towards its leadership Cop said .

The movement also noted that tarnishing the hard earned image of the people’s movement will not be compromised .
