A facebook post from Talk Show host Henry P. Costa has confirmed reports of his arrest in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Social media went wide late Tuesday evening after report that the head of Council of Patriots, Mr. Costa was arrested in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Costa posted “Don’t worry. I will be okay. The Sierra Leone authorities are being very professional and nice to me. I posted this myself because they let me use my phone. It will be resolved”. According to the report, he was arrested in Freetown, trying to book an SN Brussels flight out of the region just hours after the Liberia Immigration Service said he would be declared fugitive if he fails to appear before it on Wednesday morning for the ongoing investigation into his alleged use of a forged Lassiez Passer to enter Liberia in December of last year.
LIS PostIt has come to the attention of the Liberia Immigration Service that Prof. Cllr. Finley Y. Kangar, Legal Representative of political commentator and Talkshow host, Henry Pedro Costa has failed to avail his clients today.
Mr. Henry P. Costa along with Mr. Sylvester Tevez Nah was expected at the Liberia Immigration Service headquarters in continuation of the investigation regarding the Liberian Citizen Travel Certificate( Laissez Passer); which he, Mr. Costa used to come to Liberia from the Republic of Ghana.
Accordingly, Cllr. Finley Y. Kangar, on January 11, 2020, agreed and stipulated for Mr. Costa, his client to avail him to the Investigation Team at LIS whenever needed for further questioning. However, Cllr. Kangar was informed to come forth with his clients and accomplice, Sylvester Tevez Nah, the Operation Manager of Roots Fm (102.7) on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 1000hrs but failed to do so.
The Liberia Immigration Service wishes to state emphatically that failure on the part of Prof. Cllr. Finley Y. Kangar to produce his client, Henry Pedro Costa and his accomplice, Sylvester Tevez Nah on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 0900hrs for the continuation of the investigation, they will be declared as fugitives.
