Cummings Africa Foundation Joins COVID-19 fight, identifies with seven counties in Liberia.


Cummings Africa Foundation has joined other institutions and organizations in Liberia and across the globe to identify with Liberians in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

The organization recently provided for local beneficiaries food and non-food materials to seven counties in Liberia.

The benefiting Counties include Grand Cape Mount, Montserrado, Margibi, Nimba, Maryland, Grand Kru, and River Gee.

Some of the items donated include Rice, Palm oil, and Vegetable oil, Supper Gari amongst others.

According to the foundation, it is important to identify with the people in such time.

To support this initiative, the Foundation raised $70,000 USD of which $25,000 USD was given as a grant to a local NGO, (Teach for Liberia) to provide food and hand washing items to 3,000 teachers and students around the country.

The donation has already covered four of the seven counties and the team is currently in the southeast to continue the process.

In Grand Cape Mount County, the donation cover all the districts and as well benefited the disabled community, women grouping chiefs, and elders, the Muslim, and Christian communities amongst others. The donation in Montserrado county also covered the marketing association Redlight, The Southeastern communities in Montserrado county, and other groupings, While the donations cover vulnerable grouping such as orphanages, Group of 77, Muslim and Christian communities, Widows, Tribute Governors in Margibi County. At the same time, the donations in Nimba county among other things targeted health facilities in that part of the country to include: Ganta Methodist hospital, Bahn health center, Saclepea health center, G. W. Harley Hospital, Flumpa Community Clinic Karnwee Clinic, and Saclepea ULIC Clinic. Additionally, orphanages and old folks homes in Nimba county also benefited from the initiative.

The Cummings Africa Foundation is a local non-profit organization established in 2015 to provide humanitarian services to Liberians in the areas of education, Health and Business.

Over the period of existence several people mainly the youthful population of the country have benefited from the foundation’s initiative and have so far pledged to do more for the betterment of the nation and its people.
