Residents of Doe Community have showered praises on President George Weah for paving the main street leading to the community.

Doe Community is one of the biggest slum areas in Montserrado County with over 48,000 inhabitants but faces numerous challenges including bad road network, poor sanitation amongst others.

Speaking to News Today in an exclusive interview, the happy residents expressed gladness for experiencing such development for the first time.

One of the residents identified as Florence Jallah is quoted as saying “they no longer take off their shoes to walk to the Somalia drive in an attempt to avoid mud”.

The happy residents also explained that electricity which has been one of their old age problems has been addressed by the current Administration.
