Former Representatives Edwin Snowe, Zoe Pennue Officially Inducted As Senators

After a period of a legal battle at the National Elections Commission (NEC) over electoral matters and subsequent certification as winners of the special senatorial elections in their respective counties, the former representatives were both officially inducted as senators on Tuesday.

Former Representatives Edwin Melvin Snowe, Jr and Zoe Emmanuel Pennue joined as members of the Liberian Senate to represent the people of Bomi and Grand Gedeh Counties respectively.

The two former representatives will now be part of decision makings at the upper house of the Legislature after years of representation at the lower house.

This comes upon the Senate committee on rules, order, and administration recommendation to the plenary for the induction of the former representatives after the vetting of their credentials and certificates.

The ascendency of the two inducted senators has left room for by-elections for representative positions in Grand Gedeh and Bomi counties.
