FRTUL Endorses Nuquay’s Senatorial Bid

By Emmanuel TJ Kolie (Intern)

The Federation of Road Transport Union of Liberia (FRTUL) Margibi branch has unanimously endorsed the candidacy of former House Speaker James Emmanuel Nuquay to contest the pending Senatorial election in the County.

The union’s president said the endorsement comes as a result of Nuquay’s continuous development initiatives being carried out throughout the county.

According to Belo Bondo, Margibi will once again experience mature leadership and rapid development when Nuquay is elected to the senate.

The union believes that the former House Speaker is the political face of the county, adding that since Nuquay left the Legislature three years ago “Margibi has lost political relevance.”

“It is glaring that we have lost our political face since our son Nuquay left the Legislature’’ he said.

He furthered that with the level of developments and advocacy done by the former speaker over the years, he has no doubt that Nuquay will be elected by the people.

“Nuquay is an asset to this County, let us not make the same mistakes we made two years ago,” Bondo Stressed.

Meanwhile, former speaker Nuquay has expressed joy over the endorsement and further promised to transform the FRTUL from its current status if elected senator.

Recently, the former House Speaker resigned his post as Director-General of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) to contest in the pending senatorial elections

Mr. Nuquay’s resignation was accepted by President George Weah, who thanked him for his service to the nation and also wished him well in his new endeavors.
