Government and IMF end seventh Steering Committee Meeting of AFRITAC


The Liberian government in partnership with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has ended the seventh steering committee meeting of the African Regional Technical Assistance Center (AFRITAC) in West Africa.

The meeting organized by the government of Liberia, focused on identifying achievements, challenges as well as lessons learned during Phase One of the last five years.

Outlining achievements made so far during Phase One, Central Bank Executive Governor, Nathaniel Patray said WEST 2, over the last five years has supported Liberia in designing and implementing capacity development programs that are crucial to the country’s macro and economic stability and growth.

He added that capacity development provided by the center in the arears of revenue administration, budget planning and executive, have enabled the country’s financial institutions to make significant progress.
