In the wake of the lack of necessary empowerment and opportunities for the dominant youthful population of Liberia, National Government is said to be putting in place as well as initiating several measures, strategies, projects and programs to help address some of the challenges affecting the future leaders of the Country.
Well as testimony in said regard, the Government of Liberia through various line ministries and agencies Monday climax a one-day youth jobs opportunities forum.
The forum was among other things gear towards strategizing ways and means on how the government can make tangible impacts on the lives of the young people of Liberia.
Speaking at the opening ceremony Youth and Sports Minister D. Zeogar Wilson stressed that National Government is focused on fully implementing pillar one of the Pro Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) which highlights youth development.
Under its plans, Minister Wilson said a historic five thousand vacation jobs for students’ will be achieve especially among line ministries and agencies that are specifically dealing with related issues.
Moreover, he stressed the importance of insurance mainly for about two hundred and fifty thousand pem pem riders with focus on the safety of riders who are dominantly young people.
The Youth and Sports Boss also named the E-Camp (Entrepreneurship Camp for Innovation and Entrepreneurs, Linking Technical Vocational Education (TVET) Graduates to private sector job, youth in Agriculture and Poultry.
Others are Cadet program and Job search and employment support and many more.
Minister Wilson wants the young people to see the need to take up the challenge and engage into necessary ventures to help improve and empower them.
Also speaking at the forum was Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel D. Tweah who pledged national government commitment to positively transform the lives of the young people in 2020.
He at the same time encouraged the future leaders to see the need to engage into the agriculture sector where they will help in the digitization component of which is now crucial, he noted.

In said regard, the Finance Boss urged young people to pay attention to visible opportunities to maximize their full potential.
He noted that the youth job creation empowerment and Development alien with the PAPD under pillar one is a very crucial component noting that the government is committed to working in said direction for effective realization.
Now that the focus on youth empowerment is paramount, the realization of it to better the lives of the young people is keen.
