A 23-year-old man identified as John F. Bloe was discovered dead early Friday morning on Fuller Street in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
Bloe, alias “No bad day” was a resident of Moore Town Community and was seen lying dead in a pool of blood on Fuller Street.
According to eyewitnesses, the late Bloe was allegedly murdered by some unknown individuals.
Some residents of the community narrated that the late Bloe was a coconut seller in the community, while others claimed that he was that he used to engage into criminal activities at night after his normal business routine during the afternoon hours.
“I am happy that they killed him, for me, I cannot feel for criminals, those guys once attacked me and took away my brand new motorbike,” a resident told KMTV.
Other residents have meanwhile frowned on mob action carried out by the unknown individuals. “Even if he stole something, that does not give anybody the right to kill someone else child.”
Meanwhile, Grand Bassa County Attorney, Cllr. Samuel K. Jacobs said the Crime Services Division of the Liberia National Police examination shows that the late Blue was mobbed and stabbed many times, which led him to bleed profusely to death.
“My CSD people are investigating the matter to make sure that the perpetrators are brought to book but for now we cannot hold anybody responsible,” Cllr. Jacobs said.
