Hope Foundation Liberia has donated a used vehicle to the Grand Bassa detachment of the Liberia National Police (LNP) to assist them in the execution of their operations.
Hope Foundation Liberia is an organization owned by Grand Bassa Senatorial hopeful Anthony Barchue.
According to Barchue, he decided to donate the vehicle after he realized that the lone vehicle assigned to the police in the county has been down for the past days. “I saw that there was a need for the police to have a vehicle so I thought it wise to help in my own weak way.”
Turing over the key of the vehicle to the police commander, Mr. Sagacious Nyuah who represented the foundation said Mr. Barchue remains committed to helping to push the developmental drive of the county as many good things are expected to be done by him if elected as the next senator of the county.
Mr. Nyuah encouraged the police to be more courageous and work for the county in protecting lives and properties.
Receiving the key of the vehicle, the police commander Slakeor Freeman and other LNP officers of Grand Bassa County, expressed gratitude to the foundation for the vehicle, stating that it will greatly help them in the execution of their operations in the county.
Commander Slakeor Freeman said: “We as police officers do not believe in politics but our mission is protecting lives and property, we go as far as Compound Two and move to others districts in the county by using a commercial vehicle to respond to the citizens call and since I been in this county over thirteen years in policing this is the first of its kind for an individual to donate to the Police.”
