The road leading to Robertsport city between Latia and Sembehun towns has collapsed as a result of heavy down pull of rain.
The 10.4miles road early Friday morning at about 9-10am got shock when residents and commercial vehicles from the City of Robertsport were in route to Monrovia.
Speaking to KMTV, some residents of Cape mount said, the damage of the road was as the result of erosion.
They however explained that those traveling on the road have ignored the condition from the inception of the rainy season.
“This is not the first time for roads in our county to erode but this morning it was bad for us because some of us have numerous of transactions to do in Monrovia and that of Robertsport City, they alarmed”.
Meanwhile, the Fiscal Affairs Suprietendent, Hon. Varney A. Sheriff has assured residents living in Robertsport and Cape Mount at large of their engagement as authority to resolute the situation.
According to him, through their intervention the Bea Mining Company has climaxed an assessment of the road leading to Robertsport.
” I’m appealing to the business community not to use the current situation as a mean of exploiting our people but help in the fight , he encouraged”.
Supt. Sheriff has strongly advised citizens of the county to desist from playing politics with the growth and development of the county.
