Nimba County– Controversial Nimba County Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, has termed his recent lambastic statements against Representative Jeremiah Kpan Koung as a ‘political homework’ for his opponents.
The inconsistent Senator was heard in a one minute leaked audio last month referring to the Nimba County Electoral District #1 Lawmaker as greedy politician and a rouge who cares about his selfish gains at the detriment of the masses.
The derogatory comments from the Senator has since brought a dark clouds over the senatorial quest of Hon. Koung despite being subsequently endorsed on his [Senator Johnson’s] MDR ticket mid August as its candidate for the Special Senatorial Election comes December 8 this year.
But speaking at the official induction ceremony of the Prince Yormie Johnson Polytechnic University (PJYPU) Board of Trustees at the weekend in Ganta, the self proclaimed ‘Man of God’ clarified that his latest statements was a political dribbling against Koung’s rivals.
“Politician is unpredictable because when you can predict a politician it means you can track him down.
I give them [oppositions] a lot of work to do that’s what makes me a seasoned politician. I give them real political marijuana.” The Senator stated in a brief remarks.
The respectable MDR political leader has now twarted his tongue and apprised the representative as a man who is developmentally inclined.
” Representative Koung is transparent, humbled, faithful, loyal and open minded, that throws away what they’ve been playing around that I said he’s a rouge.
In politics, people try to knock you down so you got to be positively slippery.” The Senator said.
He is therefore calling on his followers to support the senatorial bid of Mr. Koung who is currently the House of Representatives’ Co-chair on Ways, Means and Finance.
