At least six persons have reportedly died in a car accident along the Monrovia-Gbangar highway.
A cocoa truck from Guinea to Monrovia lost control and ran off the road early Tuesday morning, according to eyewitnesses.
The truck with plate number 2300 according to the eyewitnesses, was on an excessive speed when the driver lost control and dumped into a nearby valley.
One of the eyewitnesses, Jonathan Tumba, told journalists that when he arrived on the scene, he saw the only survivor of the accident, who was in a very critical condition.
Mr. Tumba said the passenger who was in critical condition, managed to have told him that the truck driver was sleeping which led to the accident.
Four bodies have so far been recovered while the remaining two are still under the truck.
There have been reports of unknown criminals beating the only survivor in order to steal the goods on the truck.
Police officers from Salala lower Bong County are said to have gone on the scene to investigate the actual cause of the accident.
