John Dolo, a physically challenged man who lives in Gbarnga was seen on Monday sorrowfully sitting by an unfinished building just two hours after his Landlord “threw him out of the house” for failing to pay his rent.
John was born with his Limbs loss halfway more than thirty years ago in an underdeveloped environment in Bong County. He has over the past attempted committing suicide due to what he calls abandonment by family members.
According to him, everyone has rejected him as a result of his condition including the very landlord who promised not to put him out, even if he had not pay for a year.
During an interview, John said he owes six months amounting to $4,500.00LD (Four Thousand Five hundred Liberian Dollars) and because he didn’t pay the money, his landlord was left with no other alternative but to kick him out of the house.
He said over the past, his junior brother Peter Dolo who is a local farmer has been paying his rent but at this time, there is no means of paying the money as his brother is currently being admitted at a local health center in their home town.
Mr. Dolo who would no longer hold back his tears launched an appeal to goodwill individuals to speedily help him pay his rent and buy him rice.
“Right now, I don’t have anywhere to sleep so I am crying on anyone who will hear me or see this message to please come to my aide. “my condition has made me that I can’t go in the public, nobody wants to even think about helping so please I am using this platform to beg everyone of you in the name of God.
Please help me with money so that I can pay my rent and buy food” he maintained. He told Journalist that he needs the $4,500LD to be paid and additional $4,500LD for the six months and at least a bag of rice which will enable him to survive for sometimes as he awaits his brother to recover.
