Joseph N. Boakai To Serve As Chairman Of The International Pan-African Conference On Sustainable Development In Africa


According to a release, Former Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, H. E. Joseph N. Boakai and his delegation were received on June 23, 2019 by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egba Land, in the city of Abeokuta, Nigeria.

The Former vice president is honoring an invitation to serve as Chairman of the First International Pan-African Conference on Sustainable Development in Africa, to be held at Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, from June 24-25, 2019.

The conference is jointly organized by Chrisland University and CEOAfrica.
The conference will provide an interdisciplinary platform for academics, researchers, policymakers, activists, students and professionals in development studies to deliberate under the theme: “Challenges of Growth and Sustainable Development in Africa.” The Conference will have of 15 sessions with 150 presenters.

While in Nigeria, former Vice President Boakai is expected to pay courtesy calls on the former President of Nigeria and Elder Statesman of Africa, His Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo; the Governor of Lagos State; Governor of Ogun State; and His Imperial Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, III, The Alake of Egba Land, among others.

Honourable Boakai departed Monrovia for Lagos on June 22, 2019. He is accompanied by a delegation comprising of senior administrative staff of the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation, including Mr. Sylvester M. Grigsby, Executive Director; Mrs. Clara Doe Mvogo, Consultant on Outreach and Partnerships; Dr. Momo Rogers, Director of Programs; Mr. Charles A. Snetter, Media Consultant; Mr. Jake Kabakole, Policy Advisor; among others.
