Though the official results of the 2020 Special Senatorial Election are yet to be officially announced by the National Election Commission (NEC), but provisional results pulling in from across Nimba County continue to put former Superintendent, Edith Gongloe-Weh, tete-a-tete battle against electoral District 1 lawmaker, Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung.
What seems to be a surprise package for Mr. Koung is how the lone female contender Gongloe-Weh sits in charge of electoral District #1 which is being governed by Rep Koung at the Lower House of Representative.
As per results obtained from some of the tally sheets posted at some Precinct centers, Madam Weh lead the way in Districts 1, 2, 8, and 9. While Koung seems to be the hero in Districts 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Note: official election results is given by the NEC, this is a provisional results and not the final results.
