Kpah Sherman believes that the Lone Star can beat the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
Sherman, in brief interview with KMTV said he has not felt much confident about winning as compared to Sunday’s game.
“I haven’t felt this much confidence in a while, I believe we can win this game in style. We are a good hard working team and that’s all that matters,” he said.
He further urged Liberians to turnout in numbers and cheer the team to victory.
Sherman, who has been in the country on vacation since the Lone Star 2-1 triumph over Congo Brazzaville in the return-leg of the back-to-back meetings, was named in Coach Thomas Kojo’s 20-man squad for Sunday’s encounter.
The 26-year-old Malaysia-based striker featured for 82 minutes in the Lone Star last match against the Red Devils of Congo and was replaced by LISCR FC midfielder Saah Nyumah, who was dropped from the squad for Sunday’s encounter.
A win for the red, white and blue boys will restore their hope of qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations ahead of their final Group G match against DR Congo in March, 2019.
Zimbabwe are atop of the group with a three-point lead over second-placed DR Congo, while both Congo and Liberia are just a point behind in third and fourth respectively.
