Bong County District two Representative Marvin Cole has called  for the immediate resignation of Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah.

According to him his call is due to her allege failure as  Minister of Health to distinguished whether Phebe Hospital in Bong County is Private or Public Institution after series of consultations with she and other key actors in the sector.

He claimed  that there is special game being played by the Minister and others since 2016 at the Hospital, nothing that enough is enough.

Speaking to Reporters Thursday Representative Cole said it will completely undermine the grant and subsidy policy crafted by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning if the current budget  which is nearing concurrence by the Senate to be   considered for subsidy to Phebe in the tune of  about  1.5m United States Dollar contrary to the policy.

He wonders and argued while it is so hard a decision or an inquiry to be made from  Minister Jallah to find out and disclosed the status of the health facility under the subsidy and grant policy of the Government.

He branded such allege act of corruption at the Phebe Hospital as economic gangsterism which he noted should stop now.

Phebe Hospital, one of the biggest health facilities in Bong County has over the period been surrounded by controversies  raging from leadership crisis to corruption, lack of essential drugs and limited man power at the health facility and many others.

Under the subsidy and grant policy formulated by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, No private health facility should receive a subsidy over or above a million United United State dollar something the Bong County Lawmaker said if not address soon will happen in the case of Phebe Hospital in Bong County.

Though the health facility is situated in the Lawmaker’s district but he told reporters he wants the right thing to be done and to as well fight corruption in the health sector.
