Liberia Set to Host U-20 WAFU Tournament,Draw takes place Monday


The draw for the 2018 WAFU/FOX U-20 Youth Football Tournament takes place on March 26, 2018 at the Ministry of Youth and Sports currently housed at the SKD Sports Complex.

The West African Football Union (WAFU) months ago selected Liberia to host the WAFU / FOX U-20 Youth Tournament that will run from April 24 to May 6, 2018.

In a communication to member associations, WAFU Secretary General Jammeh E.K. Bojang said the decision to hold the tournament was based upon the advice of CAF because of the congested continental calendar.

According to a release from the LFA, the WAFU / FOX U-20 tournament will feature WAFU member countries from Zone A.

The LFA release said the Secretary Generals of both WAFU Zones A and B Jammeh E.K. Bojang and Akan Malan will be in Liberia on the 24th of March ahead of the draw.

Zone A member countries include Liberia, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Mali, Cape Verde and Mauritania.
