Liberia Albino Society Boss Patricia Logan calls for United Front In The Disable Community


In an effort to adequately address issues and challenges confroting the growth and development of the disable community in the Country,the Executive Director of the Liberia Albino Society Patricia Logan has emphasized the need for a more united front to robustly tackle challeges persons with disability are faced with.

Speaking at the 3rd Emancipatory Disability Research thematic meeting in Sanniquelle, Nimba County, Madam Logan said such united front is cardinal to the emancipation of those that are physically challenged including those who usually feel marginalized by society.

The LAS boss indicated that the move is fundamental in achieving the objectives of local and international disabled organizations in curtailing barriers before persons with disabilities.

” We need to speak out with one and a louder voice to policy makers and disabled partners to ensure the necessary material and financial support are giving to persons with disabilities so as to help transform the lives of us,Madam Logan pointed out”.

She also used her personal life story to encourage participants at the program not to relent in thier advocacy and quest to see themselves in society like others in spite of thier current conditions.
Madam Logan spoke on the topic” Barriers Faced by People Living with Albinism and how they can be empowered to gave full representation in society.
She said their role and contributions to society is pivotal to national growth and should not be over-looked.
Like the Liberia Albino Society so are other disabled groups nation wide who are helping to buttress government efforts in key sectors of the society as such they need to be assisted or subsidized by central government,she noted.
” LAS”, is a non for profit,non political body that has been randering free healthcare servies to the Country since 2009 and up till present.
