Liberia: Police Declare Members of Gang Group ‘Kubah’ Wanted

Police have declared ‘Wanted’ the head and members of a notorious criminal group in Paynesville known as “Kubah.”

Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, January 6, at the Police headquarters, Moses Carter said the group’s head Varney Kiazulu alias ‘AZONTO or CEO” on December 18, 2020, attacked a police officer, Albert Logan and took away his firearms, but was later retrieved by its anti- robbery division of the Liberia National Police (LNP).

Police cited another attack carried out by ‘KUBAH’ involving a Liberian comedian, John Flomo on December 19, 2020 on the Du-port in Paynesville.

Admits being WANTED, Police have charged the group with multiple offences ranging from criminal attempt to commit murder, arm robbery and illegal possession of firearms in keeping with the law.

Police have however urged the public to report Mr. Kiazulu alias ‘AZONTO’ and his criminal gang as they are currently on-the-run.
