Liberia number of coronavirus recoveries has exceeded 100, the latest data from the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has revealed.
NPHIL’s data showed a total of 101 people have won their battle against the pandemic in the country. Senior government officials, including Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean, Information Minister Eugene Nagbe and Deputy Police Director for Administration Sadatu Reeves are among the latest people that have recovered from the virus.
The number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 213 after one new confirmed case was recorded in the last 24 hours, with 20 deaths recorded. Active cases in the country have now dropped from 106 to 92.
Montserrado County remains the worst-hit county, with 185 confirmed cases and 15 deaths recorded since March 16, 2020, followed by Margibi County with 13 confirmed cases and one death since April 26, 2020.
Eight out of Liberia’s 15 counties have now recorded at least a case of the coronavirus, with Gbarpolu becoming the latest county.
