Liberian Senate hit by another death


The Liberia Senate was over the weekend hit by another death news after Grand Cape Mount County senator Edward Dagoseh was pronounced dead.

According to reports, Senator Dagoseh died at the Kingdom Care Hospital in Paynesville, due to cancer.

Senator Dagoseh’s death comes after a protracted period of illness and had sought life-saving treatment in Ghana and India.

Dagoseh was elected to the Senate in 2011 and became a member of the 53rd Legislature in January 2012. He was the founding chairman of the Public Account and Expenditure Committee of the Legislature and former chairman of the Senate Committee on Ways, Means, Finance & Budget. He held the position as chairman of the Grand Cape Mount County Legislative Caucus up to the time of his death.

Meanwhile, president Greorge Weah has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Dagoseh Families, the people of Grand Cape Mount County and the National legislature.
