Former Monrovia Club Breweries Striker Benjamin Sarkoh has made an outstanding performance for his loan club Notwane Fc of Botswana in the “BTC” Premiership league.
Benjamin who got a brace in the team’s first practice match a week ago attracted the attention of the club officials who saw the need to timely sign the Liberian creative player on a five month loan deal from Rollers Fc.
The Gaborone’s capital City base side fans were so impressed to see their new future star in their dominent gold,black and white jersey matching on the pitch away from home at the Lobatse Sports Complex plying with the number nine jersey.
Benjamin who got motivated by the fans cheers marched unto the pitch to reciprocate by getting the first assist of the match in the 60th minutes of the game.
A creative and usual dribbling skills from the Liberian striker saw him beat pass two home side defenders of Sharps Shooting Stars as an easy finish from Sarkoh’s teammate was enough to give them the match opener.
Despite being unlucky to get on the scoring sheet, Benjamin was seen at every edge of the park contributing immensely to his team to ensure they secure the three points and without conceding .
According to report,the home fans look always threatened once the young Liberian Striker posesses the ball.
Due to his stunning perform as well as his presence on the pitch which prevented his opponents from attacking, he was able to complete the full ninety minutes of the game which ended two goals to zero as the fans of Notwane Fc just could not stop hailing and chanting his name: Sarkoh,Sarkoh,Sarkoh.
Though he did not score but his performance caught the eyes of officials of his new loan club as he was considered as the new man to watch in Gaborone.
Benjamin who left Liberia in August of 2018 and signed for Rollers Fc have not had enough playing time to ensure he impress the technical staff of the club,however his loan to Notwane Fc could be a new beginning for his career.
” I am so so happy with the warm reception I received from the people here and with God above I will do my best to keep their smiles alive”,he told reporters after the match on Sunday.
He said he is hoping to train well,play well, be more focus,discipline and determine and to do his best to enable him move to Europe subsequently.
“I have a bigger dream but I am taking it one at a time with God being my helper,I will succeed”,he noted.
